AID FOR AIDS International takes great pleasure in welcoming three new partners for this AIDS WALK 2011. The first two of these sponsors offer our supporters the opportunity to walk in high-fashion style, while the third partner will ensure that some lucky AFAI team members and donors for the AIDS WALK NY 2011 have a Latin America dinner in-style.
Jin Soon Choi, the owner/founder of the Jin Soon Natural Hair and Foot Spa in New York City jinsoon.com, has been dubbed the “Nail Guru” by the New York Times Magazine.  The salon’s very first client, Sarah Jessica Parker, conducted her interview with Vogue right in Jin Soon’s salon. Her long list of celebrity clients also includes Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Anne Hathaway, Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Lopez, to name just a few.  Jin Soon’s work has been featured on the covers and in the pages of Vogue,  Allure, GQ, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar; and her advertising clients have included Prada, Dior, Dolce & Gabanna and Louis Vuitton.
Brian David Daigle has been a leading fashion hair stylist in NY for the past 12 years. His head styling resume includes New York City Fashion Week shows with Marc Jacobs; hair styling assistant to Vivienne Westwood and Anna Sui. He has also worked on campaigns for Donna Karan, Nike, Ray Ban and H&M.  His editorial assignments include covers of Vogue and Elle and a year-long fashion makeover feature in Seventeen magazine. He currently works at the Red Market Salon in the Meatpacking District redmarketnyc

And, finally nuelany.com, located at 43 W. 24th St. in Chelsea, serves the finest in South American cuisine under the direction of executive chef Adam Schop. The list of its admirers includes New York Times restaurant critic Sam Sifton, who listed Nuela’s arroz con pato as one of the “15 best things” he had eaten in 2010. Likewise, the foodies at New York Magazine went crazy for Nuela’s “artfully-conceived” finger foods, especially the “delicious” New Age arepas stuffed with ribbons of smoked brisket.  Nuela, which is open for lunch or dinner, also is a good spot for birthday and holiday parties, corporate functions and other celebrations.
Products and services of these three partners will be raffled off to donors and team members as part of a special AFAI AIDS Walk promotion. Details have already been released on our Facebook page and our AIDS WALK team members will be updated frequently via email about more surprises to come.
Again, we gratefully welcome our new AIDS Walk sponsors to the AFAI family and thank them for their generous support.
