AID FOR AIDS International (AFAI) is pleased to welcome another prominent supporter to our growing list of AIDS Walk 2011 supporters.
New York’s Standard Hotel, renowned for its stunning views of the downtown Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River and rated “Best In The World” in Conde Nast Traveler’s 2010 reader’s choice awards issue, has donated two $100 gift certificates for dining at its flagship Standard Grill restaurant.

One lucky team member and one donor to AFAI’s team will have the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic dinner at this trendy place on the night of their choice. Located beside the High Line, The Standard Grill is a hot spot that has everybody talking about its amazing dishes, great atmosphere, and the crazy parties that take place during their famous Sunday Bingo.

The Standard Grill and its esteemed chef, Dan Silverman, specialize in using market fresh ingredients to refine and update the classic dishes we all know and love. The grill, which opened in 2009, has already picked up its own pile of accolades, including Gourmet Magazine’s “20 Top Table” award for the past two years.

“All I think about,” wrote veteran restaurant critic Gael Greene in Crain’s New York Business.com, “is how soon can I get back to the Standard Grill?”
The hotel and restaurant are located at 848 Washington St. in the Highline district.
