AID FOR AIDS’ August medication drive officially ended last Thursday, and we are pleased to announce a significant uptick in donations from the weeklong recycling campaign. Meanwhile, unused and unexpired medicines are continuing to arrive at our New York office, where we are testing and shipping them off to needy recipients in the developing world.
On behalf of our entire staff and all our clients who depend on these medications for their daily survival, we deeply thank those who responded to our call for donations. We hope that this drive represented the beginning of many long-term relationships between AFAI and AIDS service organizations across the country.
We are still getting applications from potential clients in Latin America and the Caribbean, which we would like to fill as soon as possible.  We need your ongoing support to meet the growing need for life-saving ARV therapy and to continue serving our existing clients.
We ask that our donors – individuals and organizations—keep us informed when they have medications ready to ship. Our contact person, recycling manager Liliana Velasquez, can be reached at
