The day couldn’t have been more glorious as witnessed by the large crowd which turned out to walk with us on Sunday, May 20th for AIDS Walk 2012. The sun was shining, the temperature was perfect and the sky was clear – all good signals that we were to have a successful AIDS WALK this year. More than 150 people gathered with AID FOR AIDS in Central Park to do the 10-kilometer walk around the Park.
The AID FOR AIDS family was filled with great energy and one of the most sizeable crowds among all the teams at the event. And, thanks to the cooperation from the weather gods we managed to reach the finish line, tired but proud of the work that we, as a team managed to do in terms of raising awareness about our cause and the almost $23K in funds we raised this year prior to the event.
As the AIDS WALK campaign comes to a close, we want to remind you that you only have 2 weeks to collect any pending donations from pledges made to you. More importantly, however, we hope to see ALL OF YOU again for AIDS WALK 2013!
Thank you ALL, for helping us make of AIDS WALK 2012, another chance to showcase the unity of the AID FOR AIDS family and the solidarity of all of you who, day by day, do something to make a change in people’s lives!
