As we begin a new year, we have so many things to be thankful for at AID FOR AIDS. Among our many blessings, we can count the active engagement of our Board members like Narciso Rodriguez, who recently teamed up with celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann to create a new nail polish to benefit AID FOR AIDS.

Narciso, a longtime supporter of our organization, joined the Board of Directors in 2008—the same year Michelle Obama created a buzz in the fashion world by choosing a stunning dress he designed to wear on election night. Since that time, his involvement with AID FOR AIDS has been a key part of our continued success.

As his fashion career has developed over the years and he has gained increased international recognition for his work, he has continued to keep our cause and mission close to his heart. The sales from the Deborah Lippmann nail polish represent only his most recent effort to support our work, which is just a small part of his larger, ongoing commitment to end the HIV and AIDS epidemic over the years.

Deborah Lippmann, speaking of the creative collaboration involved in designing the celebrity shades nail lacquer, expressed the following thoughts on her website, “I have the great honor of working with top celebrities and fashion designers working today. We partner and create their vision… As we value social philanthropy, a portion of the proceeds for each celebrity shade sales is donated to a charitable cause which the celebrity has specified.” We are simply thrilled that Narciso has chosen us as his charity to benefit from this project!

The nail polish, named Stormy Weather, is a dark, edgy granite color and can be purchased at participating stores nationwide or online by following this link 10% of the proceeds will benefit AID FOR AIDS International. To learn more about the work of Narciso Rodriguez, visit his website here
