Nuela, the acclaimed Chelsea restaurant and major supporter of AID FOR AIDS International’s AIDS Walk campaign, will host another brunch this Sunday to celebrate the Walk and benefit our medication recycling program.
Ten percent of the proceeds from the $43 brunch, which follows the conclusion of the AIDS Walk at 1 p.m., will be donated to AFAI. The package price includes a prix-fixe menu and unlimited mimosas. For those of you walking with AID FOR AIDS for this year’s AIDS WALK, Nuela has also offered a special price of $24 for the prix-fixe menu (which includes one mimosa or fresh-squeezed orange juice).
This will be the third Sunday brunch held at Nuela this month in support of AID FOR AIDS. A benefit brunch on May 1, hosted by dot429, the LGBT professional networking group, honored fashion designer and AFAI board
Member Narciso Rodriguez. Last Sunday’s brunch at Nuela honored mothers on their own special day.
Nuela, under the direction of chef Adam Schop, serves some of the finest South American cuisine in New York. Its long list of admirers includes New York Times restaurant critic Sam Sifton, who raved about the food and the atmosphere in a review published last fall. Just let yourself sit back and take in the Nuela scene, Sifton advised readers, and you’ll find yourself “drifting out of Manhattan into…an imaginary Mexico City (or) a Caracas dream state. A vacation in the middle of Manhattan.”
Sounds like the ideal place to hang out awhile, after a long walk in the city. So come and join the AFA team for brunch and help us celebrate a great day in New York.
Nuela is located at 43 W. 24th St.
