Every season of the year, AID FOR AIDS welcomes new interns as members of our family who join our team and work enthusiastically and passionately. This time, we would like to thank Erica Talbott, who served as an intern in the Development and Communications Department for the last four months of this past year. Erica did a phenomenal job, and was a helpful part of the many projects that we took on during her time. This included our biggest event of the year, the 2013 My Hero Gala. Her commitment and enthusiasm were amazing, and her hard work was always exemplary. Erica is a young woman with a great attitude and was a pleasure to work with her every day as she became a part of the AID FOR AIDS family. Eduardo Guzman, Communications and Development Manager, had this to say about Erica and her work: “It was a real shame having to say goodbye to Erica. Her leadership, initiative, when it came to the projects she led, and her great problem-solving skills will be certainly missed in our team. Erica was undoubtedly one of the best interns we’ve had at AID FOR AIDS. I’m sure a brilliant career awaits her wherever she goes.”
On the other side, Erica says: “I have never met a more authentic and loving team as the AID FOR AIDS family. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to get valuable hands-on work experience in such a warm and genuine environment. AID FOR AIDS has changed my life!”
We are so thankful for everything Erica did, as her time here made a real difference in our team. Seeing her do her very best, day in and day out, working hard to do everything as well as it could be done, was truly impressive. We wish her the best of luck as she undertakes her final semester at Fordham University, and in all her future endeavors. Thanks Erica, and we will miss you!
