With just under two weeks to go for AIDS Walk New York 2013, we are very excited to show off this year’s AID FOR AIDS team tee shirt! The incredibly talented Cristina Bocaranda designed the tee shirt, visual theme, and all of our posters and banners, which is sure to set us apart from the crowd in this year’s walk. Going off of the theme, “Walking for an AIDS-Free Generation,” Cristina’s design appeals to both a youthful sensibility and the international scope of the work we do at AID FOR AIDS. The theme underscores our commitment to achieving the goal of an AIDS-free generation through our access to treatment, education and training, and advocacy programs around the world. There is still time left to join the AID FOR AIDS team (#0067) and to donate to our walkers by following this link!
About Cristina Bocaranda
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Cristina moved to New York City three years ago. She is pursuing a career in Textile and Surface Design at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, after getting a degree as a graphic designer from Prodiseño in 2008. Since then she has been working for several local and international brands such as Kid Cool, Tori Praver Swimwear, and SenosAyuda. Passionate about graphic design and fashion, Cristina has found in textile design the perfect intersection between both of her life’s aspirations. Ms. Bocaranda has previously donated her time and work to NGOs that support breast cancer awareness and treatment in Latin America, and now she is thrilled to add AID FOR AIDS to her list of causes to support. She has excelled in developing her incredible designs into house products, posters, and pretty much anything with a printable surface. We are especially delighted that she chose to lend her talents to our AIDS Walk campaign this year. To see more of Cristina’s work, check out her page on tumblr.
