AID FOR AIDS International is pleased to announce receipt of a grant from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, in support of our medication recycling program, which distributes free antiretroviral medicine to people living with HIV or AIDS in over 35 developing countries.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has played a crucial role in the battle against HIV/AIDS for more than two decades. In 1987, Equity Fights AIDS was founded by the Council of Actors’ Equity Association with the aim of raising funds through equity theatre companies to support the Actors’ Fund AIDS Initiative. The following year, Broadway Cares was created by members of the Producers Group, earmarking donations for AIDS service organizations across the country, including Equity Fights AIDS. The two entertainment community organizations merged in 1992, and BC/EFA currently awards grants twice a year.

For the last 10 years, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has supported our recycling program and we thank them for this latest round of funding support. We look forward to a long and continued relationship with this great organization.
