Following on the heels of our approval rating from Guidestar Charity Check earlier this year, AID FOR AIDS International continues to increase its profile in the eyes of donors with breaking news this month that we have met all standards of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance! The BBB was created to help donors make informed decisions about their charitable giving and to serve as an overseeing body that monitors the practices and conduct of charitable organizations.

In order to be approved by the BBB, AID FOR AIDS had to first undergo one of the most rigorous evaluations for charitable organizations. After voluntarily submitting all requested information, the organization was thoroughly reviewed by the BBB. This review covered all aspects of our organization’s structure and oversight, ranging from audited financial statements, to annual reports, to a review of the staff and board members, among many others.  Upon completing their evaluation, the BBB determined that AID FOR AIDS meets all 20 Standards of Charity Accountability.

In response to this wonderful news, AFAI Executive Director Jesus Aguais commented, “I am thrilled with this evaluation from the BBB! Our team has been working for a long time to ensure that all aspects of the organization are up to par with the standards set by the BBB. With these results, we are finally being recognized by one of the most trustworthy organizations out there for our demonstrated commitment to accountability and transparency, which is going to further reinforce the confidence we have earned in our donors and grantors.”
