AID FOR AIDS reaches over 1,600 people with HIV services in NYC!
In 2020, the Hispanic/Latino community was the second largest population with new HIV diagnoses in NYC.
Since January 2021, through our Outreach and HIV Testing programs, we have reached over 1,600 people, doing HIV testing and workshops about HIV prevention, and distributing condoms, lubricants, information about ¿Cuánto Sabes? and PrEP.
Thanks to our partners Mixteca Organization, Betances Health Center, and the Mexican Consulate in New York City, we are able to expand our reach, educate and empower the Mexican community.
AID FOR AIDS continues its efforts to end the epidemic by 2030 while being aligned with the 95-95-95 goal set by UNAIDS, focusing on the diagnosis of 95% of all individuals with HIV through HIV testing.
Stay tuned for more updates as the weather warms up!
