Last month, a benefit dinner hosted by Angélica Fuentes and Ricardo Seco was held in the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City to support the opening of a new AID FOR AIDS office in Mexico. Founder and Executive Director Jesus Aguais and Eduardo Guzman, the Communications and Development Manager, traveled down together to carry out this major event, which included a diverse group of artists, philanthropists, lawyers, and a host of other professionals.
The night began with Jesus delivering an impassioned speech to a group of around 50 guests who were all visibly moved by his words. Afterwards, the crowd stood in applause, united in their enthusiasm and eager to offer their support to this ambitious new project.
The momentum from this event did not stop as the evening came to a close. Over the past two weeks since the benefit dinner, AID FOR AIDS has received a huge amount of press coverage from high profile magazines and media outlets in Mexico, all thanks to wonderful public relations partners who have been actively promoting the work of the organization across the country.
“As a native of Mexico, I am so proud to see the incredible outpouring of support for our cause from people down here,” said Eduardo Guzman. “Everyone we have met and talked to about our work has been so open and willing to help us out. There has been so much positive energy in the air here. We could not be more thrilled to embark on this new journey in Mexico and to carry on with our mission to save lives one by one.”
Angélica Fuentes, CEO of Omnilife, along with up-and-coming fashion designer, Ricardo Seco, mobilized a committed group of supporters, and thanks to their hard work the dinner turned out to be a huge success! The funds raised will go towards the opening of AID FOR AIDS Mexico. Follow the coverage of this event in the Mexican press by clicking the links below.
