A Time To Reflect And Rejoice

We at AID FOR AIDS, by necessity, approach our mission from a middle ground somewhere between celebration and somber reflection.  While we reflect on the tragedy of HIV and AIDS and the awesome challenges we face in combating it, we celebrate the fundamental human capacity for goodness, and the courage and will to make the world right against all odds.
Both ends of that spectrum are intensified during the holiday season, as we look back on everything that has happened over the past year and begin planning for a better year ahead.  But, on this occasion, as I address all of you who have done so much to keep AID FOR AIDS surviving and thriving for the past 15 years, I can’t help but lean strongly toward celebration.
I refer specifically to our unlikely journey from a fly-by-night charity to the largest medication recycling organization in the world; to our far-flung staff in the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean, whose personal sacrifices and dedication continue to amaze me every day; to our Board of Directors, whose love for this organization is like that of a parent for a child.
And, finally, there is YOU, our extended AID FOR AIDS family. I cannot fully express our gratitude and admiration for your continued support, except to again offer heartfelt thanks and a wish that you and yours will find much cause to rejoice in your homes this season.
On behalf of everybody at AID FOR AIDS International, I want to wish you all a happy and joyous holiday season!
