Last week, AID FOR AIDS International and the Coalition for Haiti, including Housing Works, Diaspora, Caribbean Women’s Health Association, and PHAP+, received a large donation of medical supplies from the Ambulatory Surgical Center of Union County for use in Haiti. Though AFAI has not yet been able to receive the full shipment, but it is estimated to be 1 million dollars worth of medicine and medical supplies. As AFAI prepares its fourth shipment of medicines to be sent to Haiti, we are very excited about the new donation and the potential it has for saving lives in Haiti. More medicine is still urgently needed and AFAI would like to encourage all of our contacts to donate any unexpired ARV, Antibiotic, or Prophylaxis medication that they can. Be a Hero—your unused medications can save lives in Haiti!
